FUTURE SCIENCE CITY

A new international research and development district, located just west of the Beijing International Airport and just north of the Fifth Ring Road, was envisioned as an incubator community for industry leaders both nationally and abroad.  At the heart of this new district stands the massive mixed-use Poly Future Science & Technology development consisting of office, retail, hospitality, residential, and transit-oriented program that will activate the site with 24-hour activity and become a central gathering place for the northern Beijing area.

The site is master-planned to optimize the use of each building type and bring together the variety of tenants around a central retail courtyard, creating a dynamic atmosphere.  Visitors can arrive at the site via the new Metro station, or by bus at the newly developed Transit Center, both of which are conveniently located in the basement of the parcel.  Five towers are spaced along the perimeter of the site and interlock with a sprawling indoor/outdoor retail mall at the base.  An expansive sky platform floats far above the mall, uniting the towers, providing destination amenities for the different program types, and giving back to the site a surplus of landscaped outdoor space.
