GUANGZHOU TOWER

This winning competition entry for a 350m tower on one of the last undeveloped sites in the New Town District of Guangzhou was inspired by traditional folded lanterns, becoming a beacon for the client’s headquarters, while reinforcing their branding with a diagonal structural language found in many of the client’s previous developments.

QINGDAO COAST

Permeability of the site to enhance waterfront access, while developing a sense of community for individual clusters of headquarter office pavilions was the focus of this master-planning exercise for a new CBD in Qingdao.

WENZHOU TOWER

This 275-meter tall mixed-use tower was the anchor of a larger development along a prominent intersection in downtown Wenzhou. The plan form was derived from the ceremonial Chinese Ruyi scepter, using the cruciform shape to allow the tower to step inward when transitioning from office to hotel, while maintaining the verticality of the corners.
