An array of residential towers in a mixed-use development along a branch of the Pearl River is anchored by a 267-meter landmark tower of ascending residential program, culminating in a hotel (operator to be announced). This luxury hotel is given sweeping views of the waterfront and cultural district to the south and adorned with a colonnade of vertical piers, becoming the “Crown of Foshan.” Those piers stretch downward to the ground level, uniting the hotel and residential program. Concealed within the slender tower is a series of stacked interior atria between two split cores, a novel design solution to address the owner’s desire for square hotel bays and exciting interior space.
